2006 – Premiere of Wayne McGregor’s Chroma by The Royal Ballet

Down Arrow

First performed by The Royal Ballet in 2006, the huge success of Wayne McGregor’s Chroma, a highly charged abstract work in minimalist designs and costumes, led directly to the appointment of McGregor as The Royal Ballet’s resident choreographer. With music by Joby Talbot and Jack White III and designs by John Pawson and Moritz Junge, the original cast included Federico Bonelli, Alina Cojocaru, Lauren Cuthbertson, Sarah Lamb, Steven McRae, Tamara Rojo and Edward Watson.
