Keith Rosson (1937-). British dancer

Keith Rosson was born in Birmingham in 1937. He studied at The Royal Ballet School and joined The Royal Ballet in 1955. With a fine stage presence, Rosson became a principal dancer in 1964. He created the role of Pluto in Frederick Ashton’s Persephone in 1961, and Golaud in 1969 in Roland Petit’s Pelléas et Mélisande. Rosson was also a notable Apollo in George Balanchine’s ballet. In 1971, Rosson danced with PACT Ballet in Johannesburg, South Africa.
