Alexander Whitley trained at The Royal Ballet School and started his performing career with Birmingham Royal Ballet. Leaving the classical landscape, Whitley moved on to dance with contemporary companies Rambert Dance Company, Michael Clark Company, Random Dance and Sydney Dance Company. Whitley established his own company, Alexander Whitley Dance Company in 2014, aiming to create works that placed an exploration of the creative possibilities of digital platforms at their centre.
