1957 – London Festival Ballet dances Jack Carter’s The Witch Boy for the first time

Jack Carter’s The Witch Boy, originally created for the Ballet der Lage Landen in 1956, was first performed by London Festival Ballet at the Palace Theatre, Manchester, in 1957. The music was by Leonard Salzedo, designs by Norman McDowell, and the cast included John Gilpin and Anita Landa.
