1931 – First full-evening performance by the Vic-Wells Ballet on 5 May

The Vic-Wells Ballet gave its first full evening of ballet on 5 May 1931 at the Old Vic, with Anton Dolin as guest star. Ballets performed included de Ninette de ValoisLes Petits Riens, Danse sacrée et profane, Hommage aux Belles Viennoise, and also Dolin’s Spanish Dance. The company’s first performance at Sadler’s Wells Theatre was ten days later.
