Stina Quagebeur. Belgium dancer and choreographer

An emerging choreographer who fuses classical and contemporary styles, Stina Quagebeur was born in Sint-Lievens-Houtem in Belgium. She trained at The Royal Ballet School, where she began choreographing, and at English National Ballet School. She joined English National Ballet in 2014, and was promoted to first artist in 2016. As a dancer Quagebeur created the roles of Myrtha in Akram Khan’s Giselle and the Doctor in his Creature. Having been appointed associate choreographer for English National Ballet in 2019, she retired from dancing in 2022 to concentrate on choreography. By mid-2023 Stina Quagebeur had created no less than 18 works for the company, its School and its Youth Company.
