Sarah Lamb (1980–). American ballerina

Sarah Lamb was born in Boston in the United States of America in 1980. As a young child she enjoyed tap and modern dance, but by 1986 was enrolled at the Boston Ballet School. She started training with Tatiana Legat in 1993 and worked with her for several years, winning many medals and awards. In 1998 she was named a Presidential Scholar for the Arts and was awarded a gold medal by President Clinton. She joined Boston Ballet in 1999, rising to soloist by 2001 and principal in 2003. In 2004 she joined The Royal Ballet and became a principal in 2006. It is clear to audiences that Sarah Lamb makes the most of the roles in the vast and challenging repertoire she dances with The Royal Ballet, including the works created for her.
