Ricardo Cervera (1975–). Spanish dancer and teacher
Ricardo Cervera was born in Malaga, Spain, and trained at The Royal Ballet School. He graduated in 1993 and joined The Royal Ballet the same year. He became a soloist in 1999 and performed a wide repertoire in many dramatic roles, most notably as Colas in Frederick Ashton’s La Fille mal gardée. Cervera created roles in Christopher Wheeldon’s Tryst and Wayne McGregor’s Infra. He retired from dancing in 2015. Ricardo Cervera became assistant ballet master for The Royal Ballet in 2014 and ballet master in 2016. In 2019 he became a ballet teacher at The Royal Ballet School.
