Michael Nunn was born in London in 1967. He studied at The Royal Ballet School and joined The Royal Ballet in 1987. BalletBoyz has its own dance studio and premises based in Kingston-upon-Thames. Films by the BalletBoyz include pieces on Russell Maliphant and Darcey Bussell, and on Christopher Wheeldon as he worked with the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow.
