Gailene Stock (1946-2014). Australian dancer, teacher and director

Gailene Stock was born in Australia and received her early dance training there before travelling to London to study at The Royal Ballet Upper School. She had an international career as a ballerina with The Australian Ballet, and later became director of the National Theatre Ballet School in Victoria, Australia, and then The Australian Ballet School. She became director of The Royal Ballet School in 1999 and was in post at the time of her death in 2014.
