Angelo Andes. Swiss dancer and choreographer

Angelo Andes was born in Celevina, Switzerland in 1908, and spent many years studying Spanish dance, mainly under Lolita Sonderar. He became a leading exponent of Spanish dancing, touring widely in Europe and the Americas, and worked with the Ballets Jooss and the Original Ballet Russe. Andes danced with the International Ballet from 1941 to 1943 and then subsequently with Letitia Browne’s Anglo-Russian Ballet.
