Andy Klunder (1955?-). British artist, stage designer and teacher

Andy Klunder studied painting at Winchester School of Art, and stage design and sculpture at The Slade School of Fine Art. It was whilst studying there that Klunder’s work was spotted by the choreographer Kenneth MacMillan, who commissioned him to design the sets and costumes for his 1980 ballet, Gloria. Klunder was the head of Fine Art at the University of Plymouth until 2014, and also created the sets and costumes for William Tuckett’s Present Histories and If this is still a problem for The Royal Ballet.
