1998 – Carlos Acosta joins The Royal Ballet

Carlos Acosta joined The Royal Ballet and gave his first performance with the company in William Forsythe’s In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated at Sadler’s Wells. He remained with the company until 2015. His flamboyant Cuban style exerted a huge influence on male dancing in the ensemble.
