Based on David Garnett’s story about a girl who transforms into a fox, Andrée Howard’s Lady into Fox provided Sally Gilmour with the role for which she is best remembered. The first cast also included Charles Boyd, Veronica Iverson and Leo Kersley. It was created for Ballet Rambert at the Mercury Theatre, the music was by Arthur Honegger and the designs by Nadia Benois.
